He scored an astonishing 672 goals and provided 303 assists in 778 games, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest players of all time. 5. Real Madrid

Real Madrid, one of the most decorated teams in the history of the sport, has had a difficult time containing the incredible Lionel Messi. Messi has played against Los Blancos an incredible 47 times, between Barcelona and PSG. During those 47 matches, he has racked up an astonishing 26 goals and 14 assists.

Lionel Messi has already competed against Real Madrid four times in the UEFA Champions League. He has done so twice while wearing Barcelona’s colors and twice while wearing PSG’s. The All-Whites were defeated by Barcelona in the semi-final of the Champions League in 2010-2011, with the final score being 3-1 for Barcelona. Messi was dominant throughout the match and was responsible for both of his team’s goals in the decisive first leg victory, which they took by a score of 2-0.

Messi was not as successful when playing for PSG, as he did not score or provide an assist in Madrid’s 3-2 aggregate victory against PSG in the Round of 16 of the Champions League in 2021-22. Karim Benzema was the driving force behind Madrid’s victory.
